I’m here today to talk to you about STD’s. No, not the kind from Health class. I’m talking about Save-the-Dates. Specifically using a save the date template to make yours amazing.
So after your boo has popped the question and you’ve called your mom as well as updated your relationship status on social media, it’s time to plan a wedding. The first steps are usually picking a date and venue. The next big choice is choosing a photographer for your engagement photos. That’s when I come onto the scene.
Why you should send out save-the-dates
Sending out Save the Date postcards is like a pre-invitation to your guest list. It lets all your loved ones know to be on the lookout for the real deal in the coming months. Ordering custom save-the-date cards using your engagement photos is a great way to start making your big day special and as unique as you are.
How to design a perfect wedding save-the-date
I recently checked out the process of creating a wedding save the date at Basic Invite. It couldn’t have been more fun or any easier to customize a beautiful card with the abundance of templates they offer to choose from.
I went with their “Wildflower Ampersand” template for creating a wedding save the date post cards . With just a few clicks, I had added my own photo, changed the names and was ready to order. There is a multitude of options such as paper type, corner shape, and unlimited color combinations to ensure your save the date postcard really stands out.
The only problem I found was selecting what style and template to choose. There is a save the date template for magnets, some with a raised foil option or cards made of wood. I even saw some choices for save-the-date postcards without photos (gasp), if you’re into that sort of thing.
